About Paulo Alves
Paulo Alves was born in Jardinopolis, in the countryside of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
After completing his degree in architecture, Paulo moved to Sao Paulo to work with Lina Bo Bardi, a well known and prolific Brazilian modernist architect and designer, who helped launch his career.
His concern for sustainability, woodwork techniques, as well as a careful eye on making vernacular creations and the influence of Concretist art all contribute to the particular work of Paulo Alves.
The result is a unique and original expression which goes back to the work of the great masters of Brazilian Design.
