4-Leg Cerrado Dining Table (Base only)

The Cerrado dining table base, although chaotic in appearance, has only straight branches forming three or four supports, to support round, square or rectangular tops, with the use of two bases. 

Paulo Alves aims to talk about the origin of wood through drawing, talk about sustainability through branches, a unique characteristic that shapes his work and creates his identity. The closed base resembles mangroves, the branches growing in an apparently disordered way but creating fractals, structures that, however random they may seem, obey certain rules.
