Serpents & Felines
In the Brazilian culture, legend has it that the figa, a talisman, or amulet, in the form of a folded hand with the thumb protruding between the four other fingers, wards off the evil eye.
“I created the piece thinking not only about superstitions, but also about the power of gestures created by the hands.
The figa has a different meaning in every part of the world. I made the mold in the natural size of a male arm, resulting in an attractive piece in both large and small environments”.
