Farofa Chair
FGMF Arquitetos, led by the trio Fernando Forte, Lourenço Gimenes and Rodrigo Marcondes Ferraz, is the co-author of the Farofa furniture collection of chairs, tables and stools, in partnership with designer Paulo Alves.
The idea was to develop a line that harmonized design, comfort, resistance and an affordable price.
The contrast of the delicate design combined with the organic trace of wood and steel offer a surprising result. This contrast also marks the partnership of the two studios, which complemented each other.
In addition, the project was created around sustainability – both for the tables, chairs and stools, as little raw material as possible was used. The pieces’ design is timeless and very resistant – that is, they were developed for durability.
