The Atibainha chair is part of the Atibaia line
The seat is made of a very thin plywood board, cold-bent, covered with foam and leather or fabric.
The name of the chair, from which the Atibaia line descends, is a tribute to a friend. A place that this friend chose to build his beautiful house in the rural area of Atibaia, in the interior of São Paulo. A construction in harmony with the terrain and the original forest in which it is built.
The chair was designed there, on one of those many weekends I spent there, recharging my batteries, breathing fresh air and admiring the landscape.
The tree, with its branches, reveals a logic that enchants me, like the most beautiful of structures which expands in so many branches in all directions.
The branches that carry the leaves, flowers and fruits and the complex structure of its roots form a complete ecosystem to withstand the heat, cold, rain, sun and wind!
